Now available for Windows

Never fumble a technical question on a live call again.

Relay listens to your live call, searches your private knowledge base, and gives you instant BLUF answers — without a bot joining the meeting.

  • Built for expert calls, technical sales, and customer deep-dives
  • Works with Zoom, Teams, Meet, browser calls, and any app that plays audio
  • Your documents stay local. Your AI keys stay under your control.

No meeting bot. No plugin. No awkward participant in the call.

Important calls shouldn't feel like open-book exams

Whether it's a client consultation, a sales discovery, or a technical deep-dive — the pattern is the same.

Hours of prep, minutes of recall

You spend 2–4 hours reading docs before a call, then struggle to retrieve the right detail in the moment.

Split attention kills credibility

Searching notes while the other person talks means you miss context and sound distracted.

Your expertise deserves better

You know the answers — they're in your docs, your reports, your research. You just can't access them fast enough live.

How Relay Works

Four steps from install to live answers.

Step 01

Install & Connect

Download Relay for Windows — free, with 10 min of total live transcription time to try it out. Add your own OpenAI and Deepgram API keys in Settings. Keys stay on your machine, and you pay the providers directly at list price (see FAQ for exact costs). No markup, no middleman.

Step 02

Upload Your Knowledge

Upload DOCX, PDF, or any reference material. Relay indexes it locally so the AI can ground answers in your content. Your data never leaves your machine.

Step 03

Start Your Call

Relay captures system audio locally — no plugins, no meeting bots, no API connections to your conferencing app. Works with Zoom, Teams, Meet, phone, any platform.

Step 04

Get Real-Time AI Answers

As questions come up, AI-generated answers appear instantly, grounded in YOUR uploaded documents. Conclusion-first (BLUF format) so you can glance and respond with confidence.

Built for people who get asked hard questions.

Independent consultants & domain advisors

Turn your research notes, client briefs, market analysis, and past recommendations into a private knowledge base. For conversations where AI assistance is permitted, Relay helps you find the right context quickly and communicate with confidence.

Technical sales & solution architects

Handle deep product, architecture, security, pricing, and integration questions without digging through PDFs during the call.

Product and domain experts

Use your internal notes, specs, market research, and customer context to answer complex questions without breaking conversational flow.

Why Relay

Private Knowledge Base

Upload DOCX, PDF, or any reference material. Auto-parsed and indexed locally in an on-device knowledge store. Your documents never leave your machine.

BLUF Executive Prompter

Bottom Line Up Front — AI delivers conclusion-first answers formatted for instant decision-making. No wake word, no lag. Just glance and go.

No Bot Joins Your Call

Relay captures audio at the system level on your machine. No Zoom bot, no Teams plugin, no third-party attendee in the meeting room. The call experience is completely unaffected.

Grounded Answers, Not Guesses

Every answer is grounded in your uploaded documents — not generic web-scale responses. You bring your own top-tier LLM key; Relay handles the retrieval, grounding, and formatting so the output is on-topic and instantly usable.

Your data path is transparent.

Relay is designed for users who care about privacy, control, and sensitive conversations. Your documents stay local. Your AI and transcription requests run through the providers you configure. Relay does not need to store your calls or documents on a central server.

BYOK is intentional. It gives expert users more control over sensitive call data and provider billing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know before you download.

Do I need my own OpenAI and Deepgram accounts?

Yes. Relay uses a bring-your-own-keys (BYOK) model — you create accounts directly with OpenAI and Deepgram and paste your API keys into Relay’s Settings. Your keys are stored locally on your machine and you pay the providers directly at their published list prices. No markup, no middleman, full cost transparency.

Where to get your keys (takes about 5 minutes total):

STT Deepgram Free credit on signup

Sign up at console.deepgram.com/signup, then create an API key from the dashboard. No card required to start — see their site for the current free-credit amount, which typically covers tens of hours of live transcription.

LLM OpenAI

Sign up at platform.openai.com/signup, add a small billing balance ($5 minimum is plenty for weeks of consulting calls), then create a key at platform.openai.com/api-keys.

Both providers offer enterprise-grade zero-retention policies when your account is configured correctly — your call content is never used to train their models.

How much will OpenAI and Deepgram usage cost me?
Rough estimate for a typical 60-minute consulting call: around $0.30–$1.00 in combined API costs — Deepgram for live transcription plus OpenAI for generating answers. Exact numbers depend on how chatty the conversation is and which OpenAI model you choose. You can monitor real-time usage in your OpenAI and Deepgram dashboards at any time.
Is Relay’s free trial actually free?
Mostly. Here’s the honest breakdown: Relay itself charges you $0. No subscription, no credit card to us, and you get full product access with 10 minutes of live transcription (cumulative total, spread across as many calls as you like).

The one caveat is what happens upstream. Relay routes requests through your OpenAI and Deepgram keys, and OpenAI currently requires a $5 minimum prepaid balance to use their API. Deepgram has no equivalent minimum to get started. So your true out-of-pocket to fully test Relay is about $5, paid to OpenAI directly, not to us. That $5 typically covers weeks of consulting calls.

Once your 10 Relay-minutes run out, live transcription pauses. You can unlock unlimited usage by upgrading to Pro (cancel anytime).
How does Relay Pro billing work?
Relay Pro is a monthly subscription. You can cancel anytime from the customer portal — cancellation stops future charges, and your Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period. Each license works on up to 2 devices (e.g. your laptop and a backup machine). If you need to move to a third device, deactivate one from Settings first.
Does Relay send my documents or call audio to its servers?
No. Your documents are parsed and indexed entirely on your own machine. Call audio is streamed only to Deepgram (for transcription) and OpenAI (for answer generation) via the API keys you configured. Those two providers are the only external destinations, and they’re tied to your own accounts under your own contracts.
Which conferencing platforms does Relay work with?
All of them. Relay captures your computer’s system audio locally — it doesn’t integrate with Zoom/Teams/Meet APIs or install meeting bots that other participants can see. If you can hear it on your speakers, Relay can transcribe it. This covers Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, phone calls through your computer, and any other audio source.
